Add-ons & Modifiers
Build addon groups, configure required vs optional selections, and set per-addon pricing.
Add-ons let customers customise items at the Cashier POS — milk type, extra shots, sauce choices, size upgrades, and more. Configure them in the Management Software and they appear automatically on the POS when a cashier adds that item.
Addon groups vs addons
| Term | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Addon Group | A labelled set of related options for one item | "Milk Type", "Extras", "Sauce Choice" |
| Addon | An individual option within a group | "Oat Milk +Rs.80", "Extra Shot +Rs.80" |

Addon configuration options
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Required | Cashier cannot add the item to the order without selecting an option from this group |
| Free option price | Set to Rs.0 — does not increase the order total |
| Paid option price | Added to the item price when selected — shown on receipt |
Category-level addon groups
You can assign an addon group to an entire category so it automatically applies to every item in that category. Useful for a "Drink Size" group that applies to all beverages — configure once, applies everywhere.
Keep addon groups focused — one group per decision type. "Extras" that mix milk type and sweetness level are confusing for cashiers. Separate them into two groups.
Bulk configuration
Use the Bulk Assign feature under Add-ons to apply an addon group to multiple items at once — select items across categories and assign with one click.
